Tour Itinerary

DAY 1: FLY INTO JULIACA & PUNO

AM: Arrival to Juliaca Airport, reception at the airport and transfer by private vehicle to the 5* Libertador Hotel.

Enjoy a relaxed navigation of 1 hour & 50 minutes, while we get lectures about the origins of the inca culture, Quechua language lessons & more. At arrival we have the chance to enjoy the spectacular views offered by Lake Titicaca, we get to this unique place. After We start a 40 minute hike (difficulty level: easy to moderate) towards the exhibition point. Then we have free to explore this paradise and enjoy encounters with local families, examination of textile designs of Taquile, interpretation of the traditional clothing and the way of life of people from Taquile.

APM: QUAD BIKE TOURS: ATV (All Terrain Vehicle) (Half Day) Route: The valley of the Titicaca
Pick up from hotel at 1:45pm. transfer to Port of Puno, the guide gives a brief talk about the adventure, after 20 minutes of practice we are going to start the route by ATV, in the route we will see beautiful landscapes, agriculture, livestock, a very beautiful valley, forests of trees, National Reserve of Lake Titicaca, the Uros floating Island and a panorama of the city Puno. and eventually arrive at the port of Puno and transfer you to your hotel, approximately at 05:00pm. (End of the adventure)

 

DAY 2: FLY TRIP TO LAKE TITICACA

Live the best experience Titicaca Lake, authentic culture & traditions.
Enjoy authentic culture, traditions and Adventure. This excursion begins at 6:40am with transfer from your hotel to Esteves Island (bay of Puno). The guide gives a brief talk about the adventure, after we will paddle 1 1/2 hour in the Titicaca National Reserve, in the route you can see: a variety of birds, flora and fauna, the landscape of the lake titikaka also the island of rock formation, then we arrive to uros island. We visit the Uros floating Islands. The families present: Different main activities of the Island. Stepping on them feels very much like a water bed (but it is quite safe), We see the houses, the islands and rides on traditional reed boats can be arranged .We visit two of the 50 islands.

Note 1: No previous experience required. Departure: Every Day. Minimum: 2 passengers.

 

DAY 3: PUNO / SILLUSTANI / AIRPORT

Early wake up to enjoy a spectacular sunrise before heading towards Juliaca Airport. Along the way,an excursion will be made to the pre-inca Sillustani funeral towers next to the Umayo lake. The towers form part of one of the largest and most important necropolis in the world. Used by both the Altiplano civilisation and the Incas and their wives "Collas" to honour their dead and in preparation for the after-life. It was abandoned when the first Spanish arrived. With over ninety chulpas (tombs), all built from volcanic rock, those for the Incas can be easily recognised by their finer detail. Arrival to Airport.
